The Evan Lindberg and Erik Ludwinski College Scholarship Program for Childhood Cancer Survivors Awardees

CLASS of 2025

Our Class of 2025 recipients include Padraig Crowley of New York, Gabrielle Fox of Texas, Kameron Mcholland of Kentucky, Kashish Mittal of California, Aaron Pinksy of Florida and Natalie Ponce of Georgia. They will each receive $2,500 per year for four years of their college careers ($10,000 total for each recipient). The six impressive winners were selected out of 76 applicants from 26 states. Padraig Crowley, a survivor of Neuroblastoma, will attend Rochester Insititute of Technology and study to become an engineer.  Gabrielle Fox, a survivor of Leukemia, will attend Texas A & M to pursue a degree in nursing. Kameron Mcholland, a survivor of Rhabdomyosarcoma, will attend the University of Kentucky to study finance. Kashish Mittal, a survivor of Leukemia, will attend the University of California, Los Angeles and will pursue a career as a pediatric oncologist focusing on research. Aaron Pinsky, a survivor of Ewing Sarcoma, will attend University of Florida to pursue a career in pediatric radiology. Natalie Ponce, a survivor of Leukemia, will attend Kennesaw State University to pursue a degree in nursing.

CLASS of 2024

Our Class of 2024 scholarship recipients include Audrey DeShetler of Georgia, Vivian Eagle of Indiana, Allison Jensen of Montana, and Trase Reesing of Oklahoma. They will each receive $2,500 per year for four years of their college careers ($10,000 total for each recipient). Audrey, Vivian, Allison and Trase were selected out of 62 applicants from 25 states. Audrey DeShetler, a survivor of Neuroblastoma, will attend the University of Notre Dame and study to become a computer science engineer, specializing in pediatric oncology research. Vivian Eagle, a survivor of Osteosarcoma, will attend Purdue University and study biomedical engineering to improve prosthetics and limb sparing procedures for childhood cancer patients. Allison Jensen, a survivor of Wilm’s Tumor and Sarcoma, will attend Montana State University to study nursing, specializing in pediatric oncology. Trase Reesing , a survivor of Neuroblastoma, will attend Southeastern Oklahoma State University, playing college football - after being told he would have to give up his athletic dreams - to inspire childhood cancer patients.

CLASS of 2023

Our 2023 Class includes Mateo Ocampo of California, Gabriela Riquino of Florida, and Boden Clark of Washington. They will each receive $2,500 per year for four years of their college careers ($10,000 total for each recipient). Mateo, Gabi and Boden were selected out of 46 applicants from 23 states. Mateo is a survivor of B-Cell Leukemia and will attend Santa Clara University and study to become an anesthesiologist, specializing in pediatrics. Gabriela Riquino, a survivor of Bilateral Retinoblastoma, will attend the University of Florida and study to become a clinical geneticist, specializing in pediatrics. Boden Clark is a B-Cell Leukemia survivor who will attend Mercyhurst University and study to become an occupational therapist helping children with cancer and Special Olympic athletes.

Stephanie Ionata

Our Inaugural Scholarship Class includes Stephanie Ionata of Pennsylvania and Emily Jones of Texas. They will each receive $2,500 per year for four years of their college careers ($10,000 total for each recipient). Stephanie and Emily were selected out of 41 applicants from 22 states. Stephanie Ionata is a survivor of relapsed neuroblastoma and will attend Penn State to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatric oncologist. Emily Jones of Texas is a survivor of bilateral Wilms tumor and will attend the University of Alabama to pursue her dream of becoming a Child Life Specialist helping kids and families battling cancer.
